Statement in Petrol: Aubusson Blue for Timeless Elegance
Aubusson Blue is a deep, intense petrol blue, inspired by the precious pigments of French carpet manufactories of the 18th and 19th centuries. Within the blue color palette, this petrol is a true classic for anyone who loves dark accents. As a high-quality blue wall paint, it gives your rooms immediate depth and an understated nobility.
This exclusive wall paint was specifically designed for mineral surfaces such as plaster, gypsum, and concrete. It is also excellently suited for painting paintable non-woven wallpapers (Meistervlies wallpaper collection). Annie Sloan wall paint proves that intense blue tones are absolutely suitable for everyday use: it is extremely durable as well as washable and scrub-resistant. Dirt can be easily wiped away without polishing the elegant, matte surface.
The application of this petrol wall paint is effortless and low-splatter. Thanks to the high opacity, you can quickly achieve a perfect result. Since our paints are 100% water-based and ecological, you also ensure a healthy living environment free of pollutants.
Recommended color combinations:
Combine Aubusson Blue with Scandinavian Pink for a creative boho look or with Old White for classic, timeless elegance.
Our pro tip for a perfect finish:
For a consistent, luxurious look, we recommend the color-matched Satin Paint by Annie Sloan in an elegant satin finish for door frames, doors, and baseboards. This creates a harmonious overall look of matte walls and durable details.

It's that simple
-
Preparation
The wall should be clean, dry, and free of grease. Repair any holes and uneven areas, and carefully mask off baseboards, electrical outlets, and edges. Generally, no primer is necessary.
-
Applying the paint
Stir the wall paint well. Use a brush to paint the corners and edges first, then work over the surface evenly with a paint roller. Thanks to its high pigmentation, the paint usually provides excellent coverage immediately.
-
Let dry & enjoy
Allow to dry for about 2 hours. For an especially even and rich finish, apply a second coat if necessary. Then remove the masking tape – and your new look is complete.
