    Decorating glass with chalk markers

Design glass candle holders & vases with chalk markers – a simple DIY for creative accents! Whether for Christmas, Easter, birthdays, or seasonal decor – customize your design for any occasion or time of year and give your glassware a fresh look again and again.

    How to achieve the look

    Prepare motif

Select your desired design, print it out in the appropriate size, and roughly cut out the template. Place it on the inside of the glassand secure it with a bit of painter's tape. Ensure that the template lies as flat as possible against the glass and does not slip.

Tip:Simple designs with clear lines are particularly well-suited for tracing.

    Trace the motif

Now you can trace the lines of your template directly onto the outside of the glass using the chalk marker. Work piece by piece and try not to apply too much pressure.

Depending on the motif, you can just draw the outlines or add individual areas and details. This is an easy way to create your own personalized glass decoration.

    Oops … missed?

Did a line slip or do you not like the design after all? No problem! As long as the chalk marker has not yet been permanently fixed, you can easily wipe it off the glass with a damp cloth.

Dry the area well afterwards and simply draw it again. This way, you can correct your design until you are satisfied.

    Remove template & decorate

Done – your decorative candle holder!

With just a few simple steps, a plain glass has been transformed into a truly personal decorative one-off. Whether with an Easter bunny, flowers, lettering, or a design of your own – you can keep redesigning your candle holders with a chalk marker.

It looks especially beautiful when you combine several glasses of different sizes and with different motifs with each other.
