How to achieve the look

Prepare & Clean

Before you start, preparation is crucial! Clean the surface thoroughly where you want to apply the transfer film. Make sure it is clean, dust-free, and dry. Avoid waxed, greasy, or oiled surfaces, as the transfers will not adhere to them. Have you just painted? Wait at least 24 hours so that the paint can dry thoroughly!

Find the suitable position

Before applying the transfer film, take a moment to find the perfect position. Leave the white protective film on the transfer while you try out different placements. Once you have made your decision and peel off the film, the motif will adhere immediately – corrections are no longer possible! Make sure that fittings and other elements do not cover your design.

Apply transfer tape

Once you have found the ideal position, peel off the white protective film and place the transfer onto the desired area. You can secure it with a piece of adhesive tape so that it does not slip.

Your transfer foil is in place – your furniture is transformed!

Done! With the transfer foil, you have turned a plain surface into an individual eye-catcher. Whether it's a large-scale motif, individual floral details, or small accents – you decide how much of the design goes on your furniture.

Tips & FAQs

A transfer sheet is a special adhesive film that allows you to easily and precisely apply designs, motifs, or lettering to various surfaces. It consists of a thin, sticky layer applied to a backing paper. The design is transferred to the desired surface through pressure and friction. Transfer sheets are ideal for creative upcycling projects and allow you to add individual accents to your home.

Transfer foils can be used on a variety of surfaces, including wood, metal, glass, mirrors, and plastic. Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free of wax or oil to guarantee optimal adhesion.

If you are experiencing adhesion difficulties, we recommend pre-treating the surface with a primer. For corners that are peeling, you can apply a thin layer of sealant to the affected areas and let it soak in briefly. Afterwards, press the transfer down firmly in those spots and let it dry for at least an hour. Avoid applying transfers to old varnish or paint that is prone to flaking. Be sure to apply the film evenly and use the included wooden squeegee to prevent air bubbles. Rub carefully but firmly over the motif to ensure the design transfers optimally.
